Ranbir Kapoor Announces Raj Kapoor Film Festival to Mark Birth Centenary

The festival will showcase restored versions of 10 classic Raj Kapoor films across India from December 13 to 15, 2024.

Ranbir Kapoor revealed plans for a nationwide Raj Kapoor Film Festival during a session at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
The festival will honor Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary and feature restored versions of 10 of his iconic films.
Organized by NFDC, NFAI, and the Film Heritage Foundation, the festival will take place from December 13 to 15, 2024.
Ranbir shared his dream of creating a biopic on Raj Kapoor, emphasizing the challenges of portraying the legendary filmmaker’s life with honesty.
He also shared a personal moment, revealing that the first song he played for his daughter Raha was Raj Kapoor’s classic 'Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar.'
