Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford accused Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph of playing dirty after a low hit caused Rams tight end Tyler Higbee to tear his ACL and MCL during a wild-card game.
Stafford, who was mic’d up for the game, was heard telling Joseph, 'You’re dirty as f---, though, and you know it. You’re dirty as f---. It’s been on tape. I’ve seen it. It’s been on tape.'
Joseph defended himself on social media, stating he had no intention to hurt anyone or harm their career.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell defended Joseph, stating that's how they play football and they're not dirty.
The Lions won the wild-card game 24-23, ending the Rams' season.
