Garoppolo, 33, joined the Rams in 2024 and served as the backup quarterback, starting one game in Week 18 after the team clinched the NFC West title.
In his lone start for the Rams, Garoppolo completed 65.9% of his passes for 334 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a 30-25 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
The decision to retain Garoppolo came shortly after the NFL's legal tampering period opened, with the quarterback opting to stay in Los Angeles despite interest from other teams.
Garoppolo has played 11 NFL seasons, including stints with the Patriots, 49ers, and Raiders, and has a career completion rate of 67.4% with 96 touchdowns and 52 interceptions.
