Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is expected to return to the starting lineup this week against the Seattle Seahawks after missing a game due to a thumb injury.
Rams coach Sean McVay confirmed that Stafford was able to grip and throw the ball during individual drills at practice on Monday.
The Rams recently signed veteran quarterback Carson Wentz as a backup, following the release of Brett Rypien, who struggled in Stafford's absence.
McVay described the signing of Wentz as a chance to upgrade the quarterback room, and praised his experiences and performance in high-level football.
Offensive tackle Rob Havenstein and linebacker Ernest Jones are also expected to return for the Rams in the upcoming game.
