• Federal judge Alejo Ramos Padilla officially adapted La Libertad Avanza’s Buenos Aires deputy list to place Diego Santilli first, in line with the National Electoral Chamber’s ruling.
• Karen Reichardt remains second on the slate and Sebastián Pareja moves into the third spot, according to the updated order filed on October 14.
• The chamber had revoked Ramos Padilla’s earlier decision that applied gender parity to seat Reichardt first, citing Article 7 of Decree 171/2019 and Article 60 bis of the Electoral Code.
• Ramos Padilla complied with the order but defended his original approach backed by prosecutors María Laura Roteta and Ramiro González, arguing the chamber’s criteria disadvantaged women on the list.
• The chamber rejected reprinting ballots, so the Boleta Única de Papel will still show José Luis Espert’s image, with the case further complicated by additional resignations from Lucía Elizabeth Benardoni and María Gabriela Gobea.
