Overview
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will lay a wreath and preside over the Police Commemoration Day ceremony in New Delhi on October 21.
- A joint parade by Central Armed Police Forces and Delhi Police is scheduled as part of the event at the National Police Memorial.
- Union MoS for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, MPs with police backgrounds, heads of CAPFs and CPOs, retired Directors General, and other dignitaries will lay wreaths.
- Singh will address the assembly and will also pay respects at the altar dedicated to the Hot Springs martyrs.
- Commemorative activities at the memorial are planned from October 22 to 30, including family visits, band displays, motorcycle rallies, a run for martyrs, blood donation camps, and educational programs; the memorial, dedicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018, features a 30‑foot cenotaph, a Wall of Valour, and a museum.
