Rajnath Singh To Lead Police Commemoration Day Tributes at National Police Memorial

The observance honors the 10 policemen killed in the 1959 Hot Springs ambush.

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will lay a wreath and preside over the Police Commemoration Day ceremony in New Delhi on October 21.
  • A joint parade by Central Armed Police Forces and Delhi Police is scheduled as part of the event at the National Police Memorial.

  • Commemorative activities at the memorial are planned from October 22 to 30, including family visits, band displays, motorcycle rallies, a run for martyrs, blood donation camps, and educational programs; the memorial, dedicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018, features a 30‑foot cenotaph, a Wall of Valour, and a museum.
