  • The minister highlighted procurement reforms with the launch of the Defence Procurement Manual 2025 and an ongoing review of the Defence Acquisition Procedure to streamline capital purchases.
  • He called for financing to strengthen defence R&D through programmes such as i-DEX, the Technology Development Fund and DRDO, and asked the finance apparatus to foster tri-service jointness; senior service and defence leaders attended the event.
