Overview

  • Rajiv Thakur said scheduling conflicts and the compressed episode length prevented him from taking part in Season 3 of The Great Indian Kapil Show.
  • He recounted how in Comedy Circus he refused to mock child artist Saloni Daini and instead let her deliver the punchline “Main ek bacche ki salary pe jee raha hoon,” which audiences took literally.
  • Thakur admitted that the unintended “boring” label from that self-deprecating joke followed him off-screen and affected his career despite 14 seasons alongside Kapil Sharma.

  • He will launch his Gen Z Aur 90s Waale India tour on August 8 in Gurgaon and will visit Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow and conclude in Kanpur on September 28.
