• On July 1, 2025, Goyal assumed the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director at NHPC Limited.
• He previously held the CMD role from March to August 2024 and has served NHPC since November 1988.
• NHPC Limited holds Navratna status as India’s leading hydropower enterprise within the national renewable energy framework.
• Goyal chairs Jal Power Corporation, Bundelkhand Saur Urja and NHPC Renewable Energy and sits on the boards of NHDC, Chenab Valley Power Projects, Ratle Hydroelectric and Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric.
• He holds a master’s degree in commerce from the University of Rajasthan, is a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and serves as finance director at the National Power Training Institute in Faridabad.
