Overview

• Plantings span nearly 20 lakh hectares across 2,74,920 sites, with 37.51 lakh saplings at the individual level and 9.83 crore at the block level.
• Departmental contributions reported include Education at 3.25 crore, Rural Development at 2.65 crore, the Forest Department at 2 crore, and the Pollution Control Board at 50 lakh.
• The campaign was launched last year during Hariyali Teej under the Chief Minister’s Plantation Mahabhiyan, drawing inspiration from the prime minister’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative.
