Rajasthan Police Seize 1,014 Kg Ganja in 'Prahar' Operation

An intelligence tip led AGTF teams to a Jhunjhunu blockade that intercepted an Odisha-origin container bound for Shekhawati kingpins.

  • Officers recovered 1,014 kg of ganja concealed in a specially built chamber behind the driver’s seat of a container truck.
  • Two suspects from Sikar, Subhash Gurjar and Pramod Gurjar, were arrested on the spot and the vehicle was impounded.
  • Police said the consignment originated in Odisha and was meant for Shekhawati-based drug lords Raju Pachlengi and Gokul.
  • The operation, codenamed Prahar, was executed by the Anti-Gangster Task Force with the Jhunjhunu District Special Team at Udaipurwati.
  • The haul is valued at roughly ₹5 crore, and officials said NDPS Act cases are being pursued as investigators trace the wider supply network.
