A nitrogen gas leak at Sunil Trading Company in Beawar, Rajasthan, resulted in the death of factory owner Sunil Singhal and affected over 40 people, with more than 60 hospitalized for treatment.
The gas, which leaked during tanker unloading, spread rapidly to nearby residential areas, causing suffocation and eye irritation among residents.
Emergency teams, including police and fire brigade units, contained the leak by 11 pm on March 31, evacuating the area to prevent further harm.
The factory has been sealed, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the leak and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Several pets and stray animals also died due to the leak, highlighting the broader environmental impact of the incident.
