Rajasthan Clears Rs 69.82-Crore Mandi Upgrades, Sets Three-Year Rollout

The move advances the Developed Rajasthan-2047 agenda by pairing capital works with e-mandi upgrades.

Overview

  • The cabinet approved Rs 43.87 crore for 12 Krishi Upaj Mandi Samitis and sanctioned Rs 25.95 crore for upgrades at additional mandis.
  • Projects will be financed through the Mandi Vikas Nidhi over three years to expand yards, electricity connections and approach roads.
  • Beneficiary locations include Sojat City, Didwana, Ajmer (fruit and vegetable and grain), Hindaun City, Jhalrapatan, Sikar and Bikaner.
  • CM Bhajan Lal Sharma directed rollout steps including 1,000 Custom Hiring Centers with priority to FPOs, e-mandi strengthening and panchayat-level storage.
