Overview
- ICMBio reported that three active fire points inside the national park were brought under control on Saturday after afternoon rain, with crews airlifted from the Rio Preto area once flames were extinguished.
- The wildfire complex has burned roughly 111,000 hectares overall, including about 2,390–2,400 hectares inside the park over the latest 72 hours.
- Flames reached the Avá‑Canoeiro Indigenous Territory in Minaçu, where more than 500 hectares burned before rain helped subdue the fire after more than two days.
- Operations remain at level 3 after plans to demobilize were reversed, with about 215 personnel from ICMBio, PrevFogo/Ibama, local brigades and volunteers engaged.
- Aerial support continues with helicopters and two planes making water drops of more than 3,000 liters per flight, and some visitor trails reopened following safety assessments.
