  • Heavy downpours on July 26 caused a slope to give way behind Duridhar village, forcing the evacuation of residents from 11 houses in Sainj Valley.
  • Kullu Deputy Commissioner Tarul S Raveesh directed the relocation of around 20 people to a Public Works Department rest house set up as a transit camp.
  • State Emergency Operation Centre data show 82 deaths, 34 missing and ₹1,436 crore in losses from 42 flash floods, 25 cloudbursts and 32 landslides since monsoon onset on June 20.
  • A total of 213 roads remain closed statewide, including National Highways 305 and 70, with blockages at Kekhsu and Jhed disrupting connectivity in Kullu district.
  • The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert forecasting heavy to very heavy rains in Chamba, Kangra, Mandi and Kullu on July 29.
