Overview
- Indian Railways will operate 380 Ganpati Special trips, with Central Railway running 296, Western 56, South Western 22 and Konkan 6, scaling up from services that began August 11 for the August 27–September 6 festival window; schedules are posted on IRCTC, the RailOne app and PRS counters.
- Central Railway and Konkan/Western routes add LTT/CSMT–Sawantwadi and LTT–Madgaon specials along with unreserved MEMU services such as Panvel–Chiplun, with halts spanning Kolad, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Udupi and Surathkal.
- South Western Railway has scheduled SMVT Bengaluru–Madgaon specials for August 26–27 and issued revised plans for Hubballi–Yesvantpur–Mangaluru and Yesvantpur–Mangaluru services, with passenger information available via helpline 139 and the rail enquiry portals.
- State bus fleets are being augmented, with KSRTC operating 1,500 additional services around August 26–27 offering group and return-ticket concessions, and MSRTC arranging 5,200 Konkan-bound specials of which 5,103 are already booked along with on-route repair teams and temporary facilities.
- Pune Metro will run till 2 a.m. during peak Ganeshotsav days and operate continuously for 41 hours on Anant Chaturdashi, while IRCTC rolls out September Bharat Gaurav pilgrim tours including Char Dham from September 5 and an Ayodhya–Kasi yatra from September 9, plus a Karnataka-subsidised Kashi Darshana from September 21–29.
