Overview
- Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the services via video conference, including Amrit Bharat routes Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli, Darbhanga–Madar and Chhapra–Anand Vihar Terminal.
- Four intra‑state passenger trains—Danapur–Jhajha, Patna–Buxar, Patna–Nawada (DEMU) and Patna–Islampur (DEMU)—are slated to run six days a week from October 1.
- The Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli Amrit Bharat held its inaugural run today, begins commercial operations on October 14/16, runs weekly on Tuesdays from Muzaffarpur and Thursdays from Charlapalli, and has 22 coaches.
- The Chhapra–Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat ran a special inaugural service today, will operate twice weekly as 15133/15134, and its regular start date will be notified by Indian Railways.
- All seven trains will be operated and maintained by East Central Railway as the Amrit Bharat tally rises to 15 nationwide with 13 from Bihar, featuring upgrades such as sealed gangways and fire detection in non‑AC coaches.
