Overview
- Indian Railways has finalized schedules for special trains operating August 8–17 to address travel surges for Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day.
- North Western Railway will operate Train Nos. 09639/09640 between Madar and Rohtak on August 8–10 with sixteen general coaches and two guard vans.
- West Central Railway’s one-way specials between Rewa and Bhopal (Train Nos. 01704/01703) will run on August 10 and 11, stopping at key Madhya Pradesh junctions.
- Central Railway is deploying eighteen special services across Maharashtra, covering routes such as Pune–Nagpur, Mumbai CSMT–Nagpur, CSMT–Kolhapur, Mumbai LTT–Madgaon with a mix of AC, sleeper, general coaches.
