Railways Approves BengaluruErnakulam Vande Bharat Via Coimbatore, Releases Timings and Stops

Zonal railways have been told to begin operations at the earliest following the Board's publication of the timetable.

Overview

  • Train Nos. 26651/26652 have been assigned, with departures at 5:10 a.m. from Bengaluru and 2:20 p.m. from Ernakulam, reaching at 1:50 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. respectively.
  • The service will operate six days a week except Wednesdays.
  • The route includes stops at Krishnarajapuram, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad and Thrissur.
  • Southern Railway and South Western Railway have been directed to launch the service as soon as practicable, with permission for an inaugural special run if needed.
  • This will be Kerala’s third Vande Bharat service, with media reports indicating a likely mid-November start that has not been officially confirmed.
