• Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected construction and track-laying activity at Bilimora on 13 October, joined by Valsad MP Dhaval Patel and Gandevi MLA Naresh Patel.
• Bilimora’s RC track bed is complete and temporary track installation is underway using a Rail Laying Car that handles 200‑metre welded rail panels from the Track Construction Base.
• The station near Kesali village spans 38,394 sqm across two levels with two platforms and four tracks, including a 425‑metre high‑speed platform and accessibility‑focused passenger amenities.
• Design features draw on local mango orchard themes and incorporate IGBC‑aligned measures such as rainwater harvesting, efficient water use, low‑VOC finishes, low‑flow fixtures and reduced heat gain interiors.
• Project milestones reported this month include about 325 km of viaduct and 400 km of pier work completed, 17 river bridges and 10 steel bridges ready, over 400,000 noise barriers installed, and 5 km of a 21 km NATM tunnel finished between BKC and Shilphata.
