• Additional Member Shri Sitaram Sinku toured the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala on August 13 to inspect assembly lines, coach shells and Vande Bharat units.
• He examined CNC machines, presses and shell fabrication processes and praised the factory’s modern infrastructure for speeding up production.
• In a meeting with GM Shri S.S. Mishra and senior officers, Sinku assured full Railway Board support and advised adopting best practices to improve coach quality.
• The Railway Board official commended RCF’s record output of 2,102 coaches in FY2024-25 and reviewed the plant’s manufacturing of new coach types in the current financial year.
• A session with recognized unions highlighted the importance of cordial relations and cooperative efforts to maintain and increase coach production.
