Overview
- Las Vegas announced the signing Wednesday and waived defensive tackle Brodric Martin with an injury designation to open the roster spot.
- Jones reunites with Rob Leonard, who coached him as a young Dolphins lineman in 2020.
- At 6-foot-1 and 335 pounds, Jones profiles as a run-stuffing nose tackle built to occupy blockers in Leonard’s 3-4 scheme.
- He brings 71 career games and 38 starts with the Dolphins and Lions and now competes for snaps on an interior led by projected starter Adam Butler.
- Jones went on injured reserve in December with a back issue, so his availability and role will come into focus as OTAs begin next week.
