Jack Jones, former Patriots cornerback, has been claimed off waivers by the Raiders.
Jones' role with the Patriots had diminished over the past two games, and he was waived by the team on Monday.
Jones was arrested in June for bringing guns into the airport, but the charges were dropped in September after he agreed to serve one year of pre-trial probation and 48 hours of community service.
Jones had been a backup for the past four games after spending the first six games of the season on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury.
The Patriots are currently 2-8 and in last place in the AFC.
