Overview
- The Évreux tribunal delivered a one-year prison sentence in absentia to comedian and MMA practitioner Ragnar Le Breton for a March 2025 assault at a Ménilles stadium.
- The victim, who was sleeping in his car while waiting for his children’s training, sustained bruises, sprains and 40 days of total incapacity to work in front of his 12-year-old son.
- The public prosecutor characterized the incident as a “scene of ultra-violence” and “a real beating” during the trial.
- Judges also imposed a three-year ban on carrying weapons, five years of civil ineligibility and ordered payments of €5,000 to the father and €2,000 to his son.
- Le Breton was not detained immediately after the verdict and has ten days to lodge an appeal.
