• The announcement comes as Revord promotes Rules for Fake Girlfriends, a queer young adult rom-com released on Sept. 2.
• Set in England, the novel centers on a U.S. teen who enters a pretend relationship while following a scavenger hunt connected to her late mother.
• Revord said seeing public figures come out helped them feel represented and that they hope to offer that visibility to other kids.
