Radio DJ Jordan North Rescued After Saving Drowning Dog in River Thames

The Capital FM host was saved by an RNLI lifeboat crew after becoming stranded on a pontoon near Hammersmith Bridge while rescuing a Labrador.

Jordan North, 34, attempted to rescue a Labrador struggling in the River Thames during a run near Hammersmith Bridge on Monday evening.
The DJ climbed onto a pontoon to reach the dog but became stranded and called for help as he began to panic.
A member of the public alerted the RNLI, who were conducting an exercise nearby, and the Chiswick lifeboat crew reached North and the dog within three minutes.
Passers-by used their phone torches to guide the lifeboat crew to North, who was found holding the exhausted Labrador on his lap.
North thanked the RNLI on air, calling them the 'real heroes,' while the organization reminded the public to call 999 and request the Coastguard rather than entering dangerous waters themselves.
