Overview
- Sasha Waltz, 62, will perform in the ensemble piece “for the time being” from 10 March at the Berlin venue, marking her first such appearance in 18 years.
- The production uses improvised movement without a stage set, with the audience seated around the floor and their sounds or motions integrated into music by composer Diego Noguera.
- Waltz will appear alongside about six dancers, and attendees are asked to remove their shoes and refrain from bringing mobile phones, according to the venue’s guidance.
- At a press conference outlining 2026 plans, organizers introduced Belarusian musician and opposition figure Maria Kolesnikowa and announced a 9 April program titled “#freemaria.”
- Recently released from detention and now living in Berlin, Kolesnikowa said she will speak about freedom and perform on the flute during her Radialsystem appearance.
