  • Trainer Enda Bolger described Kavanagh as polite and well-mannered, calling him a credit to his parents and expressing devastation at the loss.
  • Kavanagh, from Tuam in County Galway, was a conditional rider attached to Bolger's yard after a spell in the UK and had support from leading connections.
  • He rode his first winner at Carlisle in 2023 and landed his first Irish success in June at Clonmel on Gimme A Buzz for owner J P McManus, with funeral details yet to be confirmed.
