Rachel McAdams has revealed that she did not participate in the 'Mean Girls' reunion Walmart commercial because she was not excited about doing a commercial and was unaware that her former co-stars were involved.
McAdams also shared that she was open to the idea of returning for the 'Mean Girls' musical film, but it did not work out in the end.
McAdams' former co-stars Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert all reprised their roles from the 2004 film for the Walmart ad.
The ad, which aired in November, saw the characters return to North Shore High School, offering glimpses of the characters as adults.
The 'Mean Girls' musical film, based on the Broadway musical and the original 2004 movie, is set to be released in January 2024.
