• Israel National News reported Wein’s passing at age 91 on Saturday morning.
• His funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Beit Knesset Hanassi in Jerusalem followed by burial on the Mount of Olives.
• Wein served as rabbi of Congregation Bais Torah in Monsey for 24 years and founded Yeshiva Shaarei Torah in 1977.
• He later served as executive vice president of the Orthodox Union and in 2002 became rabbi at Beit Knesset Hanassi after moving to Jerusalem.
