Rabanne Unveils World's Most Expensive Bag at Paris Fashion Week

The 18-karat gold Nano bag, priced at $279,000, pays tribute to late French singer Françoise Hardy.

The 1969 Nano bag, crafted from 18-karat gold, was revealed at Rabanne’s spring/summer 2025 runway show.
The bag was created in collaboration with French jeweler Arthus Bertrand and took 100 hours to complete.
Françoise Hardy, who passed away in June 2024, was the muse for the bag, echoing her iconic 1968 gold and diamond dress.
Other unique pieces in the collection include the 1969 Ceramic Bag and the 1969 Glass Bag, made from Murano glass and ceramic discs.
The bag's price tag of $279,000 surpasses that of even the most expensive Hermès Birkin bags.
