Overview
- Raaheeb is entered in the Weatherbys Global Stallions App Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor on Monday, but Shadwell and trainer Owen Burrows will walk the course and may withdraw him if the ground is too quick.
- He has had a summer break designed to strengthen him after the Irish Derby, and his team say any late-2026 runs are a bonus while priority remains on his growth for 2027.
- Jockey Rossa Ryan felt the Curragh trip stretched Raaheeb's stamina, so the Winter Hill is a deliberate drop back to about a mile and a quarter to suit his current development.
- His Winter Hill rivals include Godolphin's Maho Bay and Morris Dancer, plus On Message, Harmonics, Crest Of Fire and Venetian Prince.
- Raaheeb is by Sea The Stars and is a full brother to Group One winners Baaeed and Hukum, and any decision to aim him at the Qatar Champion Stakes or Ascot will depend on how he comes out of Windsor.
