Max Quiles won the Moto3 race at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday after David Almansa crashed from the lead at turn 2, with Brian Uriarte second and Álvaro Carpe third.
The victory was Quiles’s ninth of the 2026 season and it extended his championship advantage to the point that he could secure the title as early as the Japanese Grand Prix.
Almansa’s lap-eight error cost him the race and dropped him in the standings despite his recent promotion to Moto2 for next season.
KTM clinched the Moto3 Constructors’ Championship at the Red Bull Ring thanks to the team’s double podium finish.
Several riders had their results altered by penalties and incidents, including long-lap sanctions for Joel Esteban, a crash-and-retire for David Muñoz, incorrect penalty runs for Veda Pratama, and Matteo Bertelle’s pre-start stall that forced a pitlane start.
