• The current Liga MX franchise dates to 2013 when Oceanografía under Amado Yáñez acquired and relocated the Jaguares de Chiapas spot to Querétaro.
• Federal fraud probes forced a 2014 sale from Oceanografía to Grupo Imagen, which in turn sold the team to Grupo Caliente in 2019.
• A 2022 administration by Gabriel Solares ended after the Estadio Corregidora riot, returning operational control to Grupo Caliente.
