Quentin Dupieux's new comedy, 'The Second Act,' starring Lea Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, and Louis Garrel, is set to open the Cannes Film Festival.
The film, which screens out of competition, will also be released in French cinemas on the same day as its festival premiere.
Dupieux, known for his unique and zany cinematic style, returns to Cannes after his 2022 film 'Smoking Causes Coughing' was showcased.
Greta Gerwig is announced as this year's Cannes jury president, marking her as the second female director to hold the position.
The Cannes Film Festival will run from May 14 through May 25, featuring a promising lineup including 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.'
