Overview

• Ingrid Flanigan, 32, was charged with murdering her three-year-old daughter after police found the child with multiple wounds at their Moore Park Beach home on May 26
• Queensland Corrective Services officers discovered Flanigan unresponsive in her cell at Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre on May 30 and paramedics transported her to hospital
• Two other children aged one and two present at the scene were unharmed and are now in the care of a family member
• Police seized a knife from the property and detectives are examining mental health issues and any prior interactions between Flanigan and law enforcement
• Flanigan remains remanded in custody pending her next court appearance in July and support services have been offered to responding officers
