- Since November, Queensland Police have devoted more than 4,500 hours to targeted enforcement of e-scooter and e-bike rules statewide.

- Roughly 100 illegal or modified devices have been seized, with police warning some high-powered models qualify as electric motorcycles that require a licence and registration.
- Queensland law bans use by children under 12, requires direct adult supervision for riders aged 12 to 16, and limits legal e‑bike motors to 250 watts in public spaces.
- A safety inquiry is under way with findings expected by end-March, as research reports more than 7,200 emergency presentations since 2018 and over 1,600 hospitalisations in the first 10 months of 2025.
