Queens Man Pleads Guilty to Making 12,000 Harassing Calls to Congress

Ade Salim Lilly faces up to seven years in prison for threats and repeated harassment of congressional offices over 21 months.

Lilly admitted to threatening to kill a congressional staff member and making over 12,000 calls to 54 members of Congress.
The calls included vulgar and harassing language, with some offices receiving over 500 calls in two days.
Lilly used *67 to mask his number but was repeatedly warned by Capitol Police to stop.
He was arrested in Puerto Rico and has been in custody since November 2023.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 28, with potential fines up to $500,000.
