• The 54-year-old husband was found with a self-inflicted chest wound and remains hospitalized in critical condition as authorities treat the case as a probable murder–suicide
• Officers recovered a kitchen knife at the scene and are investigating a FaceTime call the suspect made to his nephew during the assault
• Neighbors said they never heard domestic disputes from the family and expressed disbelief at the sudden outbreak of violence
