• Queen Latifah, a 2023 Kennedy Center Honoree, will host the ceremony for the first time on December 8, with the broadcast set for December 22.
• This year’s honorees include filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, legendary rock band the Grateful Dead, and blues singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt.
• Jazz trumpeter and composer Arturo Sandoval and the historic Apollo Theater will also be recognized for their cultural contributions.
• The annual event celebrates individuals and institutions that have significantly shaped American arts and culture through various disciplines.
• The 47th Kennedy Center Honors will be produced by Done+Dusted in association with ROK Productions and directed by Alex Rudzinski.
