• Iconic Auctioneers has consigned the queen’s 2006 Range Rover for sale on August 23 at the Silverstone Festival.
• The auction house forecasts bidding between £50,000 and £70,000 for the Supercharged model.
• This is believed to be the sole L322 Range Rover with the Jaguar-derived 4.2-litre Supercharged V8 ever owned by the Royal Household.
• The car retains Tonga Green paintwork, 20-inch alloy wheels, Sand Oxford leather upholstery, Burr Walnut trim and tailored royal fittings such as enhanced security wiring, side steps and a silver labrador bonnet mascot.
• With nearly 120,000 miles and a documented service history, specialists warn that upkeep on a Range Rover of this vintage could be costly.
