Overview
- During the 28 October visit to Wiltshire, Camilla received pencil portraits of Bluebell, Beth and puppy Moley at the official opening of the rebuilt Bromham Community Hub.
- Local artist Hannah Hurst was commissioned by the village V&P farm shop and only learned the portraits were for the Queen after seeing a photo, saying she “nearly fainted.”
- Hurst worked four months on the Beth and Bluebell drawing before producing a second portrait of Moley.
- The images include Battersea charity scarves to acknowledge Camilla’s long-standing role with the animal rescue.
- Camilla called the gift “absolutely lovely” and said she would show Moley her likeness, then unveiled a plaque and planted a memorial cherry tree for PC Craig Dalby.
