Overview

  • Lower Shockerwick Farm is the charity’s seventh centre offering technology-free five-day stays to 11-16-year-olds at risk of social or academic exclusion.
  • Since 2009, Jamie’s Farm has delivered residential stays to over 16,000 young people across its sites in Bath, Hereford, Monmouth, Lewes, Skipton and a London city farm.
  • During the launch, Camilla unveiled a stone plaque, baked lemon curd cupcakes with participants and watered calibrachoa, geraniums and verbena.
  • Before departing, she gifted cuttings and seeds from her private Lacock garden, including foxgloves, hollyhocks, mint and rosemary.
  • The Queen, who has served as Patron since 2019, has now inaugurated every site except Skipton and vowed to visit it next.
