Overview
- Queen Camilla represented the monarchy at the annual service, meeting food-redistribution charities and community participants.
- An Order of Service carried King Charles’s message praising farmers; he was absent for a separate meeting with Chief Raoni Metuktire.
- The event, organised by Love British Food with partners including the Trussell Trust, City Harvest, the Felix Project and the Coronation Food Project, brought together around 2,000 representatives from across the sector.
- Readings featured actor Charles Dance, broadcaster Matt Baker and Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, who delivered a new poem titled “Bread of Heaven.”
- Food from the harvest displays will be collected after the service and donated to local groups including the Abbey Centre, Tachbrook Youth & Social Club, King George’s Hostel and the Mary Smith Pantry.
