• The Maggie’s Fife centre at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy opened in 2006 and was the first permanent UK building by Dame Zaha Hadid

• In a group discussion she engaged with Gregor Forbes, a 37-year-old Hodgkin lymphoma survivor who credits Maggie’s young people’s group with his post-treatment support
• The queen voiced concern over rising cancer rates among younger demographics and praised the centre’s active youth programme
• Maggie’s plans to add three more centres for a total of 27 by December as part of its UK-wide expansion
