Queen Camilla Debuts Diamond Necklace and Bracelet

Queen Camilla marked her first visit to the City of London as the reigning monarch by wearing Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, a historic piece that remained a favorite of the late queen throughout her reign.
The tiara, given to Charles's great-grandmother, Queen Mary, as a wedding gift in 1893, made its way to Queen Elizabeth as a wedding present in 1947. This is the first time Camilla has worn it since Elizabeth’s death in September 2022.
Alongside the tiara, Camilla also wore a diamond necklace and bracelet once belonging to Queen Elizabeth II, both received as gifts on the late queen's 21st birthday during a visit to South Africa in 1947.
The dinner at Mansion House, the Lord Mayor’s official residence, marked part of the royal tradition of the new monarch's first visit to the City of London following King Charles and Queen Camilla's coronation earlier in the year.
While Queen Camilla's tribute was appreciated by many, some royal fans expressed disappointment and found it too soon after Queen Elizabeth's death, associating the tiara closely with the late queen.
