Overview
- Queen Aminata defeated Persephone to win the TBS Championship on Oct. 28 at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, ending Persephone’s roughly 60-day reign.
- The match finish came after Britt Baker struck Persephone with the belt and Aminata followed with a headbutt and her running-knee finisher to score the pinfall.
- AEW placed the TBS title match as the double main event and it closed Dynamite during a reported 20-plus minute broadcast overrun, highlighting the show’s Halloween-themed booking choices.
- The result feeds directly into the Don Callis Family storyline, which is focused on taking multiple AEW titles next at Blood & Guts and Full Gear, with Darby Allin’s advertised TNT defense against Josh Alexander presented as a key next step.
- Aminata’s win is her first championship in AEW and produced a celebratory moment with multiple women from the locker room entering the ring, signaling a renewed spotlight on the promotion’s women’s division heading into November pay-per-view plans.
