Jacques Deschamps, a Montérégie, resident, and Wilhelmina Van Leeuwen from Montreal will be splitting the cheque and taking home $35 million each.

Overview

  • Jacques Deschamps and Wilhelmina Van Leeuwen each received $35 million after matching all seven numbers in the July 11 Lotto Max draw.
  • Both winners validated their tickets at Loto-Québec headquarters between July 15 and 16 to complete identity checks and collect their cheques.
  • Deschamps bought his ticket at the Chanteclerc convenience store in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, while Van Leeuwen purchased hers at the Dépanneur du Village in Montreal’s Gay Village.
  • The two retail outlets will each earn a 1 percent commission, netting $350,000 under Loto-Québec’s retailer incentive program.
  • This marks Quebec’s second major Lotto Max win in recent weeks, following a $20 million group jackpot in June and British Columbia’s $80 million cap hit in May.
