Overview

• The foundation launched the Emergency Therapy Support Fund on July 31 in response to a four-day surge of 49 shootings that claimed five lives in Atlanta.
• It will deliver trauma-focused counseling and mental health services to children and families affected by the shootings.
• Donations will be directed to front-line grantees Hope Hustlers and Offenders Alumni, which lead community violence intervention and mentorship programs.
• Established in 2022 after the death of Takeoff, the Rocket Foundation has since run youth intervention camps and hosted gun violence prevention summits with policymakers.
• Atlanta Police report finding over 100 shell casings at the weekend scenes but have not made any arrests as investigations continue.
